Occupational Therapy

We have an occupational therapist (OT) who is happy to assist you at home. The OT’s focus is on your independence, mobility and safety. The OT will look at your home with you and/or your family and together you can consider safe ways of you getting where you need to go.

The OT can help you to problem-solve and make suggestions about equipment (including rails) or minor modifications to beds, toilets and bathrooms which may help you with your independence and safety. She can organise for minor work to be done and can access a large pool of equipment which can be lent free of charge.

The OT works in Clare Holland House and extensively with home based palliative care visiting people in the community.
