Donations and Bequests
Your financial support ensures that we have funds to enhance palliative care services in the ACT. Donations are always welcome and are tax deductible. Many people find a memorial gift in memory of a loved one, instead of flowers, is an appropriate way of giving. Memorial envelopes are available from the front reception during business hours. Alternatively you may choose to chat with the Clare Holland House Manager.

Donations and bequests are used:

  • To improve patient, family and visitor comfort and safety,
  • To initiate new palliative care services,
  • To support staff education,
  • To support local research into palliative care
  • To maintain or improve staff amenities

Volunteer Program
Located at Clare Holland House and managed by the ACT Palliative Care Society.   The volunteers give freely of their time in creative and individual ways to enhance quality of life for people in hospice or at home.

Volunteers frequently companion people who may be confused, restless, fearful, alone or dying.

Practical aspects of volunteering include helping with meals, listening, letter-writing, reading, outings, transport and carer support.
